About Us

Welcome to 2 Birds! My name is Rachel and this is my super awesome blog.

I created 2 Birds to show off my amazing family, reach out to the crafting community and to just share the things that I love with the world wide web. You'll find a little bit of everything here. My interests include sewing, crafting, cooking, photography, reading, gardening and healthy living. I hope you enjoy your visit to 2 Birds. If you have any questions or wanna connect feel free to drop me a line through any of my social media links.

Happy Blogging!

Meet the family:

Rachel

That's me...the queen bee. At least I think so. I am the proud mamma to two amazing boys who keep me running all day long. Professionally I work as a Community Outreach Specialist for a domestic violence and sexual assault agency and volunteer with a variety of other groups in the community. I have a Bachelors of Arts in Anthropology which is a testament to my love of history and exploration. Personally I am a sewing and design enthusiast. I have been sewing since I was 12 years old and have made everything from pillows to wedding dresses. My ultimate goal in life is to raise my two boys into even more amazing men. We love hiking, riding bikes, watching gross science videos and reading. They are my life and my motivation and this blog is for them.

William

William is the main man of the Bryan family household. We have been married for over 10 years now and there has never been a dull moment with him around. He has an amazing sense of humor (which has rubbed off on the boys) and is incredibly creative. He is the owner of Gorge TV and has been producing/directing/ and writing short films for several years now. Last year he took home first place at the Columbia Gorge 48 Hour Film Project and I couldn't be prouder!

Phoenix

Phoenix gets the honor of being a big brother. The oldest out of my two little ones, Phoenix is smart, shy, and a little quiet. He loves, loves, loves reading and being outside in nature. His imagination is so vivid that even his teachers think he will grow up to be a writer, which works out well because he has already decided that one day he will win the Caldecott Medal.

Gryphon

Gryphon is the baby of the family but that doesn't stop him from being the bravest. He runs, jumps, climbs and lumbers his way through any obstacle. Despite being a manly man around tools and cars, he also has a love for stuffed animals and dancing. His energy is so infectious and he has the ability to make anyone who meets him fall instantly in love.

Kona

Kona is the newest member of the Bryan family. She is our super spunky, super hyper half pit, half Jack Russell (yes, we know...its a weird mix) but we love her anyways. She loves sticks and bones and any food that happens to cross her path (she's not picky). She's spoiled rotten and well loved. She seems to love us too.
